Dogs and cats have their own entrances and their own waiting areas: the entrance on Bulevardul Lacul Tei is for dogs, and the one at the back, away from traffic and loud noise, is for cats.
No rush.
The consultation takes as long as it takes, and never less than 30 minutes. Your cat leaves the carrier when she decides to.
No scruffing.
The team is trained to ISFM guidance, so cats are never handled or restrained by the scruff of the neck.

What the visit looks like, from the cat's point of view

Four moments. Each one has a rule behind it that we follow every time, not a good intention.

The carrier
On arrival the carrier goes up onto a shelf, at height, covered with a towel. Cats feel safe high up and exposed low down, and the waiting room floor is exactly where everyone else walks past.

A separate waiting area that only cats come into. Dogs have their own entrance and their own space, on a different route, so your cat never ends up sitting beside one.

The consultation
Your cat comes out of the carrier when she decides to. If she does not, we take the top half of the carrier off and examine her in the bottom half. We do not scruff and we do not pull cats out.

The ward
A cats-only day ward, for admission and monitoring. Cages do not face each other, they meet the standard for size, bedding and litter tray, and the feeding area sits well away from the tray.
